Weight Watchers food is too high in carbohydrates, and expensive for what you get. However, it won't hurt the baby and if you need something for lunch, it is just fine.   It is still processed food, so not as healthy necessarily as you could make yourself. My doc has no issues with following the Weight Watchers plan, but add 8-10 points to your point system.  You should be maintaining and not losing.

If you are eating the frozen meals, just be very watchful of the salt!! Some of those meals, although very good, have tons of salt in them!!

It is not safe to diet while pregnant.  Is y our figure really more important than the health of your child?

i don't think it's bad to eat some weight watchers but to follow the weight watchers diet may be a little much. i eat healthy choice and lean cuisine for lunch when i'm at work but as for following a diet plan i would advise against that. you should read the brewer pregnancy diet book it suggests eating 80-100 grams of protein per day to grow a healthy baby and gives suggestions as to what specifically you should eat.good luck!

i have to disagree with evryone just because the baby needs all the fatty things right now that weight watchers and other diets take out of their food im not saying have a bag of chips evry night  but you need a good balance of healthy good for you foods such as fruits and vegies as well as fattening stuff milk is high in calories i was encouraged to have a shake evryday during both my pregnancys its not recomend to diet while pregnate or breast feeding because the baby gets all its nutrients from you but that doesnt mean you cant eat healthy and do light excerise like walking and palities i wouldnt worry about not loosing the weight most people  who eat sensibley loose alot of it it will also help you loose weight if you plan on nursing your baby you burn a lot more calories that way

They used to have a plan for pregnant women...its the same but I think you had to drink a little more milk...check with your Dr to make sure you are getting enough.  Weight watchers is a choice not a diet plan.

I understand your desire to maintain your weight and eat healthy.   Generally I try to stay away from strict pregnancy meal plans, and just say that if you follow a few tips and some common sense you'll eat healthier for your baby than any plan can teach you.The biggest tip I give my pregnant mamas with regards to nutrition is to eat your food closest to nature as possible.  For instance: instead of eating apple jacks cereal, you might try an apple and a piece of toast.  Or instead of eating potato chips, try a baked potato.  Generally I say stay away from prepackaged foods as much as possible - even when you aren't pregnant.Look at what is in that weight watchers frozen food box.  What could you substitute for it that would be closer to it's natural state?  If it's lasagna, what about some fresh pasta, a little cheese, and a tomato, for example?  Generally speaking the meal probably won't hurt you...but now is the time to learn healthy eating habits.  Go ahead - forget those points, and make common sense healthy choices - your body will thank you for it Smiley
