Awhile back I picked up the You are not allowed to view links.

Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer
. It seemed to have all of the features I would need in a pedometer and didn't disappoint. The Omron HJ-112 Has a dual sensor that lets you carry the pedometer in your pocket or bag. I wear jersey knit cargo pants almost exclusively, so it easily slips into the cargo pocket on my leg and off I go. I have to re-set my steps. But, it seems to be pretty accurate with how far I have walked. I took it along when I went hiking with my son back in August and September and it had the distance pretty calculated pretty much on target. I don't use it for daily stuff around the house. So, I can't really say how it will work in that sort of environment. But, it works well when you are out walking and want to know how far you have walked and how many steps you  have taken.

The Omron HJ-112 measures your steps, distance, time and aerobic steps. You can also use it to measure calorie consumption during your workouts. The LED display is very easy to read and the settings are pretty simple and straight forward. It also has a clock which has come in very handy several times. The pedometer comes with a detachable belt holder and a security strap to make it easy to attach anywhere. It is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that lasts a fairly long time. In all, the Omron HJ-112 Pedometer definitely gets a thumbs up!

I need to add an update to this post. I bought myself a replacement battery yesterday and got my pedometer all set up again. As I was setting it up. I remembered something I didn't like about it. It only goes up to 300 pounds for the tracking. What's up with that? People who weigh more than 300lbs don't go walking? It seems like that was pretty common among the pedometers I was looking at when I bought this one. In all, it still does a very good job keeping track of the amount of steps and distance I walk. So, I guess I just need to drop 70 pounds and it will be perfect...
