Good machine but not perfect - I'd buy it again though! March 27, 2010

Overall I like the machine. I use it to fill freshly ground saw palmetto berries. The machine isn't fool proof though, and the unground chunks of the berries (these berries are really, really hard and tough) often make filling tricky. I like the machine well enough to use it rather than buy bottles of the stuff - bottles which could be years old, from berries that are also old. I believe in saw palmetto berries to keep my prostate gland in good condition. I **know** the berries work at least as well as Finasteride or some other chemical or natural compounds. This machine helps keep me healthy. I wish it was easier to use. I'd have paid more for a faster, more user-friendly machine but I couldn't find one. This will do. Buy it. It's a great price and a dandy machine for the purpose.

I have been into herbals for over 15 years. For some reason, I always thought I needed to have a big company make custom blends if I wanted something specific. I tried this for the first time...using individual ingredients and mixing them to create my own pills. It was very easy...and I am sure you could knock out quite a few in an hour. I really wish they had the exact same machine...ony a bit larger...but for small batches - simply marvelous. I would highly recommend this.

For this price it cannot be beaten. The only issue I have is that the caps dont get super filled... please let me explain, and Yes I use the Tamper 2-3 times while filling. I am new to herbal suppliments but have found great use and respect for them. At first I was filling caps by hand, just making a pile of powdered herb and pushing the bottom end into the pile a couple times until tightly packed and then pushing the top into the pile lightly and then joining the to halves. This gave me really tightly packed caps. Needles to say doin it w/ this machine is 100x faster and I just take an extra cap to make up for the difference. Also I have noticed that even store bought caps are way looser than the ones I was hand making.
