Today I weighed in at 414 lbs, which puts me at almost 50 pounds lighter than when I started in September. Things have been hit or miss. I am trying hard to Hit 400 pounds by the end of the year and it seems like it might or might not happen. I guess I could really be trying a little harder by not eating things like cheese steaks and going out to eat. But these are the things that I just cant seem to give up on easily. My other food choices have definitely improved and I am paying more attention to what we buy at the store. It is amazing how things like salad dressing can have so many calories (220 for 2 tbsp in thousand island) or so little (20 for 2 tbsp. in wishbone fat free Italian – and it is good too!).

So all of the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone and while the last two weeks have not led to enormous losses, I managed to keep myself in check and lost another pound this week to finish out this round of the holiday season at 417 pounds. It was a tough two weeks. One of my favorite items at Thanksgiving aside from the turkey, is the stuffing. I have spent years perfecting my recipe and try and improve on it every year and it just seems to keep getting better. The problem is that we generally have so much of it left that I eat nothing but turkey and stuffing for a week and it kills my calorie count. So the fact that I could lose any weight during the past two weeks is a big plus as far as I am concerned. Next up is Christmas.
Today was also my second visit with the nutritionist She was pretty impressed since my goal was to see if I could lose 5 lbs. One thing she suggested is that I try to drink less juice and more water as juice is packed with calories and doesn’t do much to make you full. She didn’t have much else to say other than since I was losing weight she wasn’t going to nit pick any of my food choices. Woohooo!

So I survived thanksgiving. It has been one heck of a week. Between getting ready for Thanksgiving and the actual day I thought for sure I would tank this week. But I kept things in line and didn’t go way overboard even though I made everybody at the dinner table go whooooah when I pulled off the huge ass turkey leg and proceeded to polish it off. We still have plenty of left-overs that I will be eating during the next few days so next week may not be as kind, but this week I managed to lose 1 pound and am currently at 418 pounds.

So after a big loss the last time, things leveled out a bit this time and my current weight is 419 for a loss of 2 pounds in the last week. I am just happy that I can continue to take off weight as I am learning to eat better. Things have been going pretty well as I am still learning what foods I can eat to stay within my calorie limit for the day and what will fill me up more and keep me sustained for a longer period of time with less calories.

So, it would seem that keeping track of everything I eat in a manner that lets me get a quick total of my daily calorie intake has been working pretty well. I didn’t weigh myself last Friday because I had my Dr. appointment on Wednesday and just didn’t see the point of weighing myself two days later. Today my current weight is 421 pounds for a total loss of 12 pounds since last Wednesday. That is about 1 1/4 pound per day. I don’t expect to keep going at this rate, but it was sure nice to have a big drop after the last few weeks or ups and downs. It has given me a lot more enthusiasm and kicked me into high gear to try and do a lot better in my day to day eating.

I am posting my weekly weigh in today since I had my first visit with the nutritionist and was weighed when I checked in. My current weight is 433. Seems as though I am having a tough time beating down the 430 pound mark. Maybe it is my lack of exercise or just the fact that I haven’t been trying quite so hard the last couple weeks. I think after my visit with the nutritionist, I have a little better understanding on what I need to do and now that I know of the Fit Day website that I can use to track my daily food intake I think I will be able to do much better with my calorie tracking and be able to eat better than I have been. I am looking forward to seeing where I am at with my next doctor visit.

The days are buzzing by now that I have only 3 weeks left to complete the project I am working on. I have been trying to eat less and better. With fruit in the monring, more salads and less food at dinner time. It gets tough some days when I am really hungry and the dinner is so, so good. My weigh in this week is 430.6, so a loss of 5 pounds this week. Pretty good considering I havent done much more than sit in my chair and work. The most exercise I have gotten is goin to the bathroom. The 400 pound mark is in sight now and I am hoping to get there before Christmas.

So with my upswing last week I tried alot harder this week to do thing right. I ate better and less. We even had lunch out early in the week. My weight for the week is 435.8. So I am back to where I was 2 weeks ago and looking to keep dropping instead of going back up.

It was a busy week and things haven’t gone so good. We ate out 3 times this week and I didn’t hold back much when we did. My wiegh in for the week was 445.9, so it was a rebound of 10 pounds added on. Seems like I need to exhibit greater control when we head out to the restaurant.

All in all it has been a pretty good week. My weight today is 435.9, so it has been a loss of 10 pounds this past week which makes me pretty happy.
