Damn You, Fat Cells!
At my last appointment with the nutritionist we were talking about my ups and downs and the things that I am having the most problems with. To date my biggest hurdle has been feeling hungry. Some days I just want to eat. I can eat something and 10 minutes later I fee hungry again. When I can keep that in check and eat good, healthy food, I do ok. But when I start to lose focus, I tend to eat not so healthy food. A tidbit of information she shared with me that I found very interesting is the fact that fat cells don’t go away. Once you have em, they are yours for life. As you lose weight and in turn lose fat, they deplete. But, they never go away. So as they shrink while you are losing weight, they start making noise about wanting to get fed… in turn making it harder on you to not eat so much… At least that is how i perceived what she told me.. Maybe I’m wrong.. but if not, damn those fat cells for making me want to eat a cheeseburger! So, I guess it would make sense to feed those fat cells, but make sure to do it sparingly and get lots of exercise at the same time.
