Thats a lot of friggen butter
Well, despite my strong start to this year, I have kind of strayed from my motivational high and moved into a holding pattern. My biggest issue right now is time. I have none of it. I seem to do best when I can focus on eating well and making the best choices. When I have the time to figure out the best foods to eat, plan a menu, figure out my calorie intake and write about my progress. It’s fairly obvious I haven’t had much time to write about progress or lack of it seeing as I haven’t made a post in close to a month. I just haven’t had the time lately, so I have just kind of gone into a holding pattern at around 360lb. At my last visit to the nutritionist, she suggested that I was her success story and indicated that if I never lost another pound, my weight loss to this point could still be considered a huge success. I suppose in the text book sense that is all fine and dandy.
But, it’s not really very comforting when you are still 200 lbs. over your suggested weight. It did help put things in perspective though. She pointed out that to date I have dropped more than 400 sticks of butter from my body. I was making dinner the other day and took a pound box of butter out of the refrigerator and opened it up to look at the 4 sticks of butter inside and that really kind of sunk in. Thats a whole lot of friggen butter. I would like to say that I am going to regain that focus today and continue doing what I need to in order to lose the next 400 sticks of butter. I just don’t see that happening right now. I simply don’t have the time to focus my attention on trying to lose more weight at this time. I have been trying to get my business to pick up and I have had some small successes and plan to continue focusing most of my attention on that. Once I am comfortable with the level I have achieved there. I will be able to refocus some of my attention at losing weight again.
That being said. Spring is here. The weather is finally starting to get a little warmer and summer is right around the corner. Camping, hiking, yard work and days in the pool are almost upon us and I intend to get out and do as much as possible with my son this year. So, at the very least I will be getting some fresh air and much needed exercise. I am going to try and take some time during the next few weeks to post some weight loss tips I have gotten to help me get to this point as well as posting some articles I have gathered to the weigh in discussion forum. I hope they are helpful.
